The Babolat Pure Drive 107 2021 features a rich, new navy and mid blue colorway and is an updated version of its predecessor geared toward all court players seeking a midweight frame that provides a smooth feel with easy access to power.
Babolat’s engineers have incorporated the new HTR Sytem, giving the frame increased torsional rigidity to enhance responsiveness at ball impact. Players will find increased dampening of vibration via their SWX Pure Feel, a visco elastic rubber laid in between the layers of carbon in the racquet shaft.
Technologies carried over from the prior version include Frame String Interaction to raise the sweet spot and tighten the spaces between the upper cross strings for a more responsive contact zone.
The Pure Drive 107 is an oversized version of the Pure Drive which has an easy-to-find sweet spot and a slightly longer overall length for added reach.
Pure Drive enthusiasts will be able to make the transition to this new model with ease, since the overall specifications remain the same. With some improvements “under the hood” in terms of feel, this racquet will continue to be a best seller in the Babolat family of racquets.
