HOW IT ALL BEGAN...
Bruce Bell, owner of Bell Racquet Sports, was one of the area’s top racquetball players in the 1980’s and began breaking his racquet strings with some frequency. As a hands-on person with a strong technical background learned from his Dad in the HVAC business, he bought his first stringing machine and began to string his own racquets along with those of his friends, right out of his parents house. He then opened a small service and retail store in a portion of a friend’s lawn mower repair shop. In 1985, as business gained traction, he decided to take the plunge and hang a shingle, opening his first official retail location of what was then Bell’s Racquet Shop in Honeoye Falls, New York. Along the way, Bruce achieved his Master Racquet Certification. Growth demanded more space and easier access, so another move to Penfield, New York ensued, and in year 2000 a move to the current, even larger location in East Rochester, New York.

Now, as one of the largest racquet specialty businesses in the United States, we stock thousands of racquets, paddles and all the shoes, bags and accessories any racquet-sport aficionado could ask for!
