Product Overview
The Babolat Pure Drive 98 is a new offering replacing the Pure Drive VS of the past. For fans of the blend power power and control of the Pure Drive franchise, the 98 is a slightly smaller headed option with a thinner beam. Altogether, the design of this model offers added control for big hitters with consistent ball contact (compared to the Pure Drive 100 and others in the series).
Babolat's engineers have incorporated the new HTR Sytem, giving the frame increased torsional rigidity to enhance responsiveness at ball impact. Players will find increased dampening of vibration via their SWX Pure Feel, a visco elastic rubber laid in between the layers of carbon in the racquet shaft.Technologies carried over from the prior version include Frame String Interaction to raise the sweet spot and tighten the spaces between the upper cross strings for a more responsive contact zone.
Technologies of the Babolat Pure Drive
HTR Sytem - gives the frame increased torsional rigidity to enhance responsiveness at ball impact
FSI - raises the sweet spot and decreases the space between the cross strings for improved control and a more responsive string bed.
SWX Pure Feel - a visco elastic rubber laid in between the layers of carbon in the racquet shaft for a "just-right" amount of vibration dampening
Evo Beam Technology customizes play characteristics thru the use of varying frame thicknesses
