Explaining SMART Density:
Wilson's SMART density paddles are unique by design, featuring an "Oreo Cookie" type core, with the outer EVA foam layers nearest the face (think the cookie part) being softer for touch shots and the inner most core (think the frosting) being firmer density for more power on harder drive shots. Thus the name "Smart Density". This type of core provides a just-right response based on the speed with which it meets the ball.
