The Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 5 is faster, lighter and more flexible than its predecessor and is aimed toward the advanced player looking for the utmost in explosive on-court performance. If you like your foot to feel "hugged" but not heavy, this flexible yet supportive upper gives you just that feel.
For players who don't like a thick, padded tongue, note that this tongue is very thin and is attached inside the shoe to reduce tongue slippage to either side.
We consider this a "game day" shoe in that it is very lightweight for speed and mobility. The flip side of this, is that you won't find the heavy, truck-like rubber outsole that some players seek for Platform Tennis. This means there is a tradeoff with comfort / speed and durability.
