The Viking Axe Prodigy Valknut for 2023 features CFS2 technology and new colorway!
The Viking AXE Prodigy is designed for a player seeking a soft, comfortable paddle that is easy to swing and offers a fairly generous sweet spot. With a low density foam core, this shock absorbing paddle reduces vibrations felt at impact and also helps with ball placement for shot-making accuracy by taking some pace off the ball as it deflects more slowly off of the soft core.
The light weight helps with maneuverability and swing speed for players who favor ease of swing over more mass. This paddle also features a consistent, heavy layer of a fine particulate, well-adhered grit.
What are the Viking Axe Paddles known for?
The Viking Axe paddles (three in the series) are designed with the maneuverability of the Viking O-Zone paddles and a larger sweet spot and stable feel like the Re-Ignite series.
With a head size of 88.9 square inches, the Axe paddle is a "large mid size" or "small oversize", depending how you want to see it. You can choke up on the elongated handle, or get two hands on it, as with the O-Zone paddles, but the balance isn't quite as head heavy as a traditional oversize paddle such as the Re-Ignite series. Viking incorporated a carbon fiber weave around the entire throat for added shock reduction and stability making this model feel as great as it plays!
The three Viking Axe models include:
- Axe Prodigy (lightest with a low density core - easiest to swing and most control)
- Axe Lite (midweight with a medium density core - blend of power and control)
- Axe Pro (heaviest with a mid+, firmer density core - most power, firmest feel)
Viking's CFS2 "Carbon Fiber Stability System" technology promises an optimal blend of control, power, maneuverability, and whippy feel for enhanced paddle head speed. The CFS2 softens the response at impact and stability and maneuverability coexist seamlessly. With CFS2, a Carbon fiber weave wraps the entire throat of the paddle, giving it added stability and increased shock reduction without adding any weight.
