Even lighter than the Technical Viper, 2.5 the Air Viper allows for faster head speed. For advanced players, who rely on speed overall, or head speed for wristy shots, the 355 grams of this paddle ensure you'll deliver!
Babolat engineers designed this racket with an innovative, multi-materials core, for a large sweet spot, and a hole pattern that allows that player to generate high speed without losing control. The 16K carbon fiber surface layer ensures great power in the strokes and features a matte, gritty, texturized finish, as well a a raised-print surface to enhance ball spin.
The Babolat Air Viper 2.5 is a super high tech paddle in the lightweight padel or pop tennis paddle category that has been designed for ease of swing for players who have above average technique and prefer to generate power via fast stroke mechanics. This paddle is used for POP Tennis (paddle tennis), padel and beach tennis. This paddle is NOT used for Platform Tennis.
For the techies out there, when comparing "12K" like in the Technical Viper and "16K" carbon in this version, the key difference lies in the number of individual carbon filaments within each fiber bundle, with "16K" having more filaments than "12K". This results in a slightly stiffer carbon fiber material, meaning a higher "K" value indicates greater rigidity and density in the carbon weave. The end result is a faster ball trajectory, which is best suited to players with above average control and ball placement.
